Jakob de Lemos

Jakob de Lemos oversees iMotions’ Research & Development as well as Intellectual Property Rights issues. The inventor of Emotion Tool™, his passion is interest & emotion sensitive media and their relation to cognitive psychology and neuroscience.

Combining his knowledge and skills in computing and technology, Jakob is constantly coming up with new ideas for the design and development of advanced digital interfaces. His creativity and innovative spirit drive our product development team to constantly seek technological breakthroughs in emotion technology. 

Jakob has extensive professional experience in coordinating projects, ranging from software development to large multidisciplinary events for profit and non-profit organizations.

Jakob has studied at several Danish universities to gain the technical knowledge and skills to pursue his career, including System Design Methods and Data Structures at the Computer Science Department at Aarhus University; New Media Design with a focus on Organization, Interface Development, and Experiential Marketing at the Interactive Media and Marketing Academy in Nakskov; and Medialogy, specializing in Innovation, Human/Computer Perception, Psychophysiology, Image Processing, and Advanced Interfaces at Aalborg University.

Jakob is frequently invited by the IT University of Copenhagen and The Danish School of Design to lecture on Advanced Interface Design.
